As StartLife’s Startup Analyst, Giulia Crastolla finds, screens and analyses promising agrifoodtech startups for the StartLife Accelerate program, as well as for programs and events with StartLife’s Corporate and Investor partners. As such, she has a leading role in StartLife’s startup selection process.
In 2021, Giulia finished her master’s in Food Technology – Product Design & Ingredient Functionality, at Wageningen University & Research. She also has a bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Technology from University of Bari Aldo Moro (Italy). For a little while she worked as Quality Assurance Lab Technician in New Zealand. At FrieslandCampina she worked as an R&D Intern on the formulation and development of a dairy dessert, with focus on alternative functional ingredients, such as vegetable proteins, starches, hydrocolloids.
Giulia is driven by the curiosity of finding new opportunities for our generation and the generations to come. Her big aspiration is to support startups in making healthy and sustainable food accessible for every margin of society.
