Thomas is responsible for venture building program of StartLife and Wageningen University & Research. Hereby he works together with leading researchers at WUR to build, validate and fund university spin-off companies, which can obtain support at StartLife. He is further responsible for the investor relations at StartLife maintaining a close network of (corporate) venture capital funds and other investors to help StartLife startups raise capital. He acts as trainer primarily on topics related to fundraising during the StartLife Accelerate Program.
Before, Thomas was the program director at StartLife. Prior to joining StartLife he worked as consultant at InnoLeaps, an innovation consultancy firm in Amsterdam, where he organized and executed projects for companies such as Unilever, Vodafone and Ahold. Earlier, Thomas was the founder of healthy snacking company BoxBites.
Thomas completed an MSc degree in Management, Economics & Consumer Studies at Wageningen University, and a BSc in Health & Society.
