Chris Deen is a distinguished business leader with a remarkable track record in management, entrepreneurship, financial audits, business strategy, and change management. He holds a Doctorate in Business Economics and Information Management from Amsterdam University. He finished his auditing studies from VU Amsterdam during his RA program.
Chris began his career as an auditor at Ernst & Young, where he honed his financial expertise and analytical skills. He then transitioned to Sara Lee, assuming various positions, including General Manager. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to co-found a medical-tech startup, Proctos Kliniek, which demonstrated his innovative approach to healthcare. His leadership journey continued as he took on the dual role of CEO (2014) and CFO (2012) at BakersLand, which had record profits and also launched new products during his term. Chris further proved his mettle as the COO overseeing the integration of Euroma and Intertaste, showcasing his adeptness at managing complex corporate transitions.
He was also a board member at Royal Cosun, where he provided his business insights. Recently, he served as the Chief Executive Officer at ForFarmers in the Netherlands (2022), where he led the company to newer heights.
He is ready to offer his business & financial acumen, management skills, medium to long term strategy planning to early stage startups.
He is interested in agritech startups which are focussed on shaping the future of farming.
