The MIT-feasibility subsidy finances a feasibility project for 40% of the eligible costs (maximum 25.000 euro). A feasibility project consists of a feasibility study, or a combination of a feasibility study and experimental development or industrial research.

The purpose of the subsidy ‘Stimulating Innovation of SMEs in region and top sectors (in Dutch: MKB Innovatiestimulering Regio en Topsectoren (MIT))’ is to strengthen the engagement of SMEs in in innovation activities within the top sectors and beyond region borders. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are crucial to innovation and to strengthening the economy. The sectors involved are the following: Horticulture & Agriculture; Chemicals & Energy with cross-cutting theme Biobased; Creative Industry; High Tech Systems & Materials; Life Sciences & Healthcare; Logistics; Water and Agriculture & Food.
