CEO and founder of consultancy company Driehoek Research Support B.V.
Support in developing the business with respect to research and innovation, guidance in legal issues, personal coaching to handle all the successes and failures of entrepreneurship, connections to relevant national and international parties in research and innovation.
Managing research projects and setting up research units like a laboratory, or a clinical trial office, is a major interest for years already. Another major interest is coaching and training of scientists.
Setting up and running a company was an exciting challenge. I had to learn a lot especially with respect to public relations and acquisition. I, however, like pioneering. I am now entering a new phase of extending the company. It is again a challenge.
My major scientific interest is the (evolutionary) dynamics of pathogens of humans, or plants. This interest resulted in the text book ‘Epidemiology and Plant Ecology: principles and applications’ (2007).
