Erik van den Hoogen is senior purchasing manager at Lidl.
After my graduation in 2006 from Wageningen University I started in 2006 as a management trainee at Lidl. After a few months training I became a District Manager and got the responsibility over 5 stores. In 2008 I switched to the buying department where I learned to see opportunities in the market, develop products, negotiate with suppliers, develop packaging and market products. In those years I introduced many products which still are successfully soled in Lidl stores.
In 2013 I moved to Sweden to work for Lidl Sweden where I became Buying Director and Executive Member of the Board. At the end of 2017 I moved back to the Netherlands to start as manager for the departments Buying Fruit & Vegetables, Branding & Packaging, Category Management, Quality Control & Management and Administration & Processes.
