Francesco Pasanisi, in his role as Program Support Officer, contributes to StartLife’s efforts in organizing various activities and conducting research that is beneficial to the company’s programs. He is dedicated to offering all-round support to the team and providing assistance across different organizational activities.
Francesco completed his MSc in Agricultural and Environmental Science from the University of Bari “Aldo Moro” in June 2022, where he received an impressive summa cum laude, During this program, he also got an opportunity to be a part of the Desertification Research Center (CIDE-CSIC) at the Valencian Institute for Agricultural Research (IVIA) where he worked on novel irrigation strategies for cultivating Avacados, Olives and Citrus fruits in water deficit regions.
There he realized his interest lay in geo-informatics and programming, which led to him joining the MSc Geo-Information Science at the Wageningen University & Research in 2022. His greater aim is to utilize his programming and machine learning skills for analysis of geospatial data to learn more about Earth and contribute to climate change research.
