Pieter van der Linden

In October 2021, Pieter van der Linden joined the StartLife team to help organize meetings and offer all-round organizational support. As our Program Support Officer he helps innovative agrifoodtech entrepreneurs turning their novel technologies into companies with a sustainable impact on our food system.

In 2021, Pieter finished his bachelor’s in Food Technology at Wageningen University & Research, with a minor in Bioinformatics. In his minor, he dived into the world of Bioinformatics, combining programming skills with biological knowledge. This gave him insight into the power of data science and machine learning. His bachelor thesis on Food 3D Printing, or to be more precise, “Thermographic Analysis of Hot-Extrusion 3D Food Printing”, was awarded with an impressive 9.0 (out of 10). During his bachelor studies Pieter also worked as Microbiological Analyst at Mérieux NutriSciences for just under two years.

Next to his  involvement with StartLife, Pieter is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Food Entrepreneurship at Wageningen University & Research.
