Hans Roelofs has a passion for innovation in the food industry. Over 40 years, he lead technical and technological development projects from idea up to implementation. He has fulfilled various innovation and R&D positions at the global food corporations Nutricia, Campina and Hero Benelux. And after a long corporate career, Hans successfully continued his journey as food innovation entrepreneur. It is no exaggeration to say that Hans is a key driver of promising innovations.
With his extensive industry experience, Hans knows how to translate insights on an abstract level into concrete and pragmatic solutions and strategies. He builds necessary bridges between different company disciplines. He cooperates very well with partners of marketing, purchasing, operations and quality in order to realize the innovation targets on an effective and efficient way. Hans delivers the added value through a facilitating, vitalizing and coaching way of leading internal and/or external teams who realize the application of new technologies, raw materials and products.
As co-founder of the startup IXL Netherlands, Hans has build experiences as an entrepreneur who worked on the innovation of a radical new way of cooking by using Pulsed Electric Field technology. Combining science with cooking, and learning from their respective viewpoints, establishes a very fruitful dialogue.
Hans studied food technology at the Has University of Applied Sciences and Strategic Product Development at Groningen University and is passionate about building better and personalized nutrition for the world.
